Bela,

Sounds to good to be true... a fix after all these years ;)
Could you tell me how you build xf86-video-intel? When I do ./autogen.sh I get the following error:

checking for sys/mman.h... yes
checking for mprotect... yes
./configure: line 21292: syntax error near unexpected token `XINERAMA,'
./configure: line 21292: `XORG_DRIVER_CHECK_EXT(XINERAMA, xineramaproto)'

I did some google search and the closest hit I found was:
http://www.mail-archive.com/dri-devel@lists.sourceforge.net/msg33497.html

But red hat systems have other package names and I don't know which to install on ubuntu..

any help would be appriciated!
Sander

It is working on my system. I can use blender without crash, and it is fast.
I think this bug is fixed.
