my computer freezes when it goes into screensaver mode

This bug report is a duplicate of:
Bug #966744: [i965] Resume from suspend leaves me with black screen or a screen of the desktop before it suspended. Compiz hung in intel_update_renderbuffers() from intel_prepare_render() from brw_draw_prims().

Bug Description
I have recently updated to the Ubuntu 12.04 and everytime my computer goes into screensaver mode it freezes, I can still move the mouse but I can't do anything else and only a hard reset will work.
If I try to go to menu>settings>
Anyway to disable the screensaver without going through those steps?
I am not very good at this so any assistance would be appreciated.

This is a duplicate of bug 966744, the fix is in precise-proposed and the info on how to use it before it moves to precise-updates in a few days is on there
