Bug Description

== Problem ==
After resume from suspend in metacity, fonts show vertical line corruption in firefox, terminal, etc.

== Background ==
I've seen plenty of other people's bug reports showing this behavior but have not see it myself on this machine as far as I can remember.

After being away for Memorial Day Weekend (with machine in suspend), woke machine up and immediately saw the corruption for the first time on this machine. The machine is put into suspend a LOT (via lid close).

Note that I don't see the corruption in newly created text input areas, but I do see it in the titles of newly created windows.

Problem still exists in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS with the following configuration & with the latest updates:

Yeah, I've been seeing it again too, lately. Unfortunately last night my hdd started acting up on this machine so may be difficult to test stuff.

Bryce Harrington, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ .

If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report:

apport-collect -p xserver-xorg-video-intel REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER

Thank you for your understanding.
