Bug Description

I'm using kubuntu Dapper drake Flight 6. and i855 graphic driver (1280x800) under ko_KR.utf-8. when i view pages which encoded in utf-8 or use gtk2 apps, some character is missing but it appears when i drag the windows outside of desktop or when i mouseover it.
But it doesn't happedn in my desktop which have nvidia drivers. (Of course, in same fonts and setting.)
here is screenshot about that problem.
i don't know why it happened.

Looks like problem is same as this (except graphic card):

@nahs, I believe your Korean font in the screenshot is turned antialiasing off by the ko_KR fontconfig, what about RenderAccel with your graphic card? And, is this happening with other fonts such as Unfonts? Because, the font in your screenshot is supposed to use embedded bitmap and Unfonts are set antialiasing on.
