Bug Description

I've just installed Dapper Flight 5 on a Dell Inspiron 630m (same as Dell x140). During the installation I was able to select the 1280x800 resolution native in my laptop, but then I get a 1024x768 with 800x600 and 640x480 as available option.

Breezy users mention this bug being solved by the 855resolution package but apparently it doesn't exist anymore in Dapper?

The video card is Intel i915PM with GMA900 integrated.

Right. The package is 915resolution. I've got the right resolution, although a normal user is not going to find easily the fix, nor is going to apply it unless following a FAQ like a parrot.

Considering that WXGA laptops and monitors in general are being more frequent, an automatic or non-terminal based way of solving this bug would be great.

Thank you anyway for your work. :)

It seems to be prevalent amongst widscreen displays for laptops. Still checking for the others to consolidate.
