Can't start X with a Cirrus Logic GD 5465 [Laguna] (rev 03)

Just can't start X server on this old hardware:

01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Cirrus Logic GD 5465 [Laguna] (rev 03)

Since it's so old, there should be no problem with that. X seems to have a driver for that, but the log says something about a segfault.

Because of this bug, ubuntu Lucid could only be installed by alternate cd media.

the driver is no longer in ubuntu, close it's bugs
