Bug Description

Hi! I cannot find the way to force radeon driver for using certain digital output with ConnectedMonitor and UseDisplayDevice option for open radeon driver. These options are possible only for commercial NVidia driver.

Is there some way to avoid monitor detection and force to use certain digital output (hdmi or dvi) with open radeon driver currently?

I am using Mythbuntu 10.04 + enabled repos by Mythtv developers (mythtv 0.24).

Here is my current version of open radeon driver.

xserver-xorg-video-ati:
  Asennettu: 1:6.13.0-1ubuntu5
  Ehdokas: 1:6.13.0-1ubuntu5

Hi,

I think this is related to xserver-xorg-video-radeon package as well (?).

This parameter would be very helpful for LCD or LED TV mediacenter usage, Power saving features cause problem without these options.

Gepardi, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ .

If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report:

apport-collect -p xserver-xorg-video-ati REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER

Please note, given that the information from the prior release is already available, doing this on a release prior to the development one would not be helpful.

Thank you for your understanding.
