Driver hangs my laptop (Mobility Radeon 7000 IGP)

The driver does not work for me out-of-the box. If i comment out 'dri' it works like a charm, until that, it freezes my computer every time after a couple of minutes running.

Lots of days after my input and no news of this. Let me know if is necessary more info on this bug please.

I compare my configuration with one provided in dapper beta 2 and with the same parameter on live dapper beta 2 works fine and in my laptop does not work with all updates. I will try to attack my xorg.conf file.

After died a dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg didn't work poperty again.

Works in dapper beta 2 live cd, but not in my upgrade from brezzy.

After my last attempt to solve it, i tried the following: I copy the whole /etc/X11 from beta live cd to my current installation and seems that the laptop works fine, even with dri module, but seems that there is no 3D acceleration.
