Testing kms ppa from http://www2.bryceharrington.org:8080/drupal/node/86

The screen display a vertical purple line on the right. I attached a photo (normal screenshot dont capture this).

Also, I notice you have a number of superfluous settings in your xorg.conf - would you mind re-running the test with no xorg.conf, so it just picks up the defaults?

Without xorg.cong file, I have the purple line yet. The glxinfo show that the ati driver is not put by default. Anyways the perfomance is nice (about 8500 fps on glxgears and 15 segs on gtkperf).

I tested this today. It is fixed with 20090101
$ glxinfo | grep renderer
OpenGL renderer string: Mesa DRI R300 (RV380 5462) 20090101 x86/MMX/SSE2 TCL

With the package .deb for mesa: 7.6.0~git20090817.7c422387-0ubuntu3
