Bug Description
Binary package hint: xserver-
Similar to bug #328531, except the entire system freezes.
The Ubuntu boot splash screen displays fine, but when we get around to starting X, garbage is displayed on the screen, and the computer completely locks up.
Tried the "xfix" option from the recovery menu, but this did not change anything.
Just upgraded to Jaunty (beta).

I was wrong about the computer being totally locked up. Only the console is locked up. I was able to ssh in from another box. Running X under gdb gives: xorg/modules/ extensions/ /libdri. so: undefined symbol: atiddxAbiDixLoo kupPrivate
/usr/bin/X: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/
