Bug Description

I have a fresh install of kubuntu 15.04 and the radeon driver (radeon r9 290) starts in llvmpipe mode, currently I have installed oibaf repository with the lastest mesa version and the linux kernel 4.0 RC1 and the problem persist.

obedlink, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. If you boot into http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ is this reproducible?

If so, could you please run the following command from a terminal as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report:

apport-collect -p xorg 1428792

Please ensure you have the package xdiagnose installed, and that you click the Yes button for attaching additional debugging information.
