Bug Description

My setup was working 100% until today (last reboot was Aug 10 @ 21:54CDT)

Upon update today, I rebooted, only to find my machine locked hard. Rebooting into safe mode, I was finally able to swtich to the VESA driver and log in to provide this bug report.

Sadly, the lockup was so hard that no information was saved (I had to hold the power button down). I cannot find oopses in the logs, nor can I find debugging info.

I have attached my xorg.conf file.

It is now working. The culprit was AGPFastWrite. The second xorg.conf file works for me.

Now you have the cause, and you have the timeframe. :)

Thanks for your report. You are not supposed to use AGPFastWrite, it is discouraged by the driver developers, as can be seen in the manual page and in the log.
