Bug Description

While running steam big picture mode main menu I started to notice some artifacts of corruption on the other two displays when using the wireless xbox360 controller and trying to scroll left at the end of the menu. Then as I tried using apport-bug the display started to lockup and blackout then the whole system locked up and this error report was waiting upon the fresh boot and login to the user account along with many other errors.

Unfortunately testing 14.04 is not possible at the moment due to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1266900

I've been able to consistently reproduce the corruption and crash. Attached is screenshot of the corruption before the crash.

Jonathan Brier, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ .

If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report:

apport-collect -p xserver-xorg-video-ati REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER

Please note, given that the information from the prior release is already available, doing this on a release prior to the development one would not be helpful.

Thank you for your understanding.
