syndaemon wakes up 10 times/second even when trackpad disabled

Bug Description

On this Thinkpad I run with the trackpad disabled (Fn-F8). However, syndaemon still wakes up 10 times per second:

  Power est. Usage Events/s Category Description
    31.6 mW 175.0 µs/s 4.7 Process syndaemon -i 0.5 -K -R

Ideally syndaemon should wake up less, and never when the Trackpad is disabled.
