touchpad scrolling disabled after every suspend

I lose the scroll settings on my synaptics touchpad with every suspend. workaround is to open gpointing-device-settings, unclick/reclick all the scroll buttons; then things work again. This bug is new in Oneiric; everything worked great in Maverick. Hints appreciated.
