Bug Description

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics

Hello. It seems that there has been some problem before with the middle button feature using two fingers. On my asus eee pc and the most recent karmic I get the right mouse button menu when I do the middle button two finger tap on the touchpad. Otherwise when I use the physical buttons to do the middle click, it works ok but it isn't that nice. On jaunty the bug didn't manifest itself.

Thanks for your report.
In recent versions, the middle and right buttons have been inverted. You now have to tap with 3 fingers to get middle click.

And what should I do, when I want it to work in the previous way? I got used to one finger meanig left, two fingers - middle and three - right.

This is a valid bug.
Everywhere two fingers on touchpad - means mousewheel.
Two-finger scrolling is working as wheel scrolling.
Two-finger pressing is not working as wheel pressing.
This is a valid bug.
