Bug Description
Intrepid release 8.10.
The Synaptics touchpad on this ECS Desknote computer starts to scroll uncontrollably, sometimes immediately on login to Gnome, sometimes later on. If I log out and back in to a failsafe session it is fixed, but if I log in to failsafe first up, the problem can be there too.
It seemed fine vvhen I first installed from CD a couple of months ago, until I started updating the system.
