The touchpad has middle-mouse click emulation enabled by default with a tap in the upper-right corner. There is no option to disable this behavior in the mouse settings. Also, there is no entry for the touchpad in xorg.conf.

It is quite intentional that it isn't in xorg.conf - almost everything is autodetected fine now.
As for the option to turn this off... you can turn if off manually using xinput (see https:/ /wiki.ubuntu. com/X/Config, Input Configuration section) - the first two elements of "Synaptics Tap Action" are what you need to set to 0.
