nope, still is a bug...
the tap sensitivity varies from system to firefox[needs more pressure] even after changing settings using man synaptics and xorg.conf...

i think its still a bug since through gsynaptics it cannot be controlled properly...
has to be controlled through using man synaptics and xorg!
so the gsynaptics software is still not taking full controll of the touchpad properties and functions

I second the fact that the default tap sensitivity should be higher. On my Dell laptop (using Synaptics touchpad), it's almost impossible to click with a tap. You need to try several times before inputting successfully a click.

i think there is a deeper problem... the tap sensitivity varies with apps!!!!

when considering 8.10 i think that they should FIRST think of perfecting the input devices...pls improve the touchpad functionality...

or can we request Synaptics to release driver for linux?
