Two-finger scrolling on touchpad not working as expected

My touchpad works normally except for two-finger scrolling, where it frequently jumps/skips instead of scrolling smoothly. I was originally using libinput drivers and switched to synaptics drivers, but it did not resolve the issue. I am hoping to get some help identifying the root cause
