Bug Description

With Feisty and HP Compaq nx9105 laptop, the touchpad sensitivity is quite low.

The other (connected) problem is already reported under #61561 touchpad sensitivity cannot be adjusted

May also be connected to Bug #106969
because the touchpad is improperly detected as mouse.

Please try on Intrepid alpha5 livecd. You can change the settings now with 'xinput'.

Timo: I had the same problem on Intrepid alpa5 up-to-date. My computer is a Dell Latitude D630 with a
AlpsPS/2 ALPS GlidePoint synaptic touchpad.

I fixed the problem with xinput as you said: xinput set-ptr-feedback "AlpsPS/2 ALPS GlidePoint" 3 8 1

This fixes my slow touchpad on latitude D830.
There should be some way to do this in GUI, I'm on kubuntu.
Note that most solutions found via google work via reintroducing xorg.conf
