UltraNav not working on Lenovo Thinkpad Edge E520

Bug Description

Ubuntu version: 12.04 LTS 64bit
Package version: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics 1.6.2-1ubuntu1~precise2

Steps to reproduce:
1. Try the Ubuntu 12.04 live - UltraNav is not working (neither the touchpad, nor trackpoint)
2. Install and update Ubuntu 12.04 - UltraNav is not working (neither the touchpad, nor trackpoint)
3. While debugging, it seems the device is detected, it just doesn't work. External USB mouse works just fine.

just a try, run:
synclient -l | grep -i "TouchpadOff"
from treminal, and if it returned:
TouchpadOff = 1
then your touchpad is disabled, just enable it by running:
synclient TouchpadOff=0

Hope it helps :)

Suggesting Regression because this machine is certified.

Unfortunately, the command returned
TouchpadOff = 0

Just in case, I ran:
synclient TouchpadOff=0
..again, no luck, none of the buttons, nor the touchpad, nor the trackpoint, are not working.
