Bug Description

I have a HP touchsmart tm2 laptop with a Synaptics Clickpad.

The device has a two-tap disabling feature with a LED that turns on when disabling that doesn't in Ubuntu. Nether the two-tap and nether the LED.

There are several patches in openSUSE which enables the LED and the toggle support: https://build.opensuse.org/package/files?package=xf86-input-synaptics&project=openSUSE%3AFactory, can they be ported to Ubuntu?

Seems that OpenSuse dropped the double-tap patches as request https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/129428 :(

I have a Hewlett Packard Mini. After running a few Ubuntu updates, my touchpad is disabled. Help?
