After some time - may but up to several hours - the mouse stops responding to mouse clicks. The pointer on the screen moves as normal. The mouse goes through a KVM switch and correctly works on other machines. The mouse will stop even when not being moved - that is i have returned to the keyboard to find the mouse has stopped. The keyboard works fine. This only started after upgrading to 8.10 soon after it was released. In all cases the only common application has been firefox. |

Restarting X by doing <ctrl><alt><backspace> in a terminal restores the mouse to working.
The InputDevice selection of xorg.conf seems to have been commented out by the upgrade with a note that HAL is now used.
