Bug Description
Hello,
touchpad on my Dell XPS 17 (9720) with ubuntu 23 behaves weirdly.
It usually works fine for a few hours and then it stops registering single touch movements, so it cannot be used to move cursor as expected. But clicks and multitouch stuff works (scrolling, ...). If one want to move cursor, two fingers must be used, one static, one moving, which is weird.
Problem occurs randomly.
If notebook is restarted after it occurs, problem is not solved.
If notebook is turned off after the problem occurs, issue disappears.
BIOS and all firmware is up to date, I use dual boot with windows.
I followed touchpad debugging page on askubuntu and managed to get some logs before and after + from evtest.
Thanks !
