Bug Description

Description: Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS
Release: 20.04
dm3:
  Installed: 3.34.1-1ubuntu1
  Candidate: 3.34.1-1ubuntu1
  Version table:
 *** 3.34.1-1ubuntu1 500
        500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu focal/main amd64 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

Booting off of a live usb, the trackpad, external mouse, and internal keyboard stop responding to input after suspend. On my updated install, the laptop trackpad works, but the other two inputs do not after suspend/wake. I can log in using the on screen keyboard. Unplugging the mouse and plugging it in does not fix it. The inputs don't respond while logged in either. Only a reboot fixes it.

Please:

1. Reboot.

2. Suspend and reproduce the problem.

3. Reboot again.

4. Run:

   journalctl -b-1 > prevboot.txt

and attach the resulting text file here.

Thanks. I can't find any easy explanation in that log...

I suggest the next thing to try is the latest kernel:

  https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v5.8/amd64/

which is probably the component most likely at fault here.

I tried suspend with the latest kernel (5.8) and the input freeze still happened. Suspend works on the Windows 10 partition. I could boot up a different distro's live usb or install a different desktop manager and see if the problem is with the kernel or something higher up.

I installed kubuntu-desktop and removed ubuntu-desktop. The SDDM and KDE combo doesn't freeze on suspend. I can install lightdm and see if the problemm returns.
