Bug Description

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-input-evdev

When working in guest, sometimes I have observed a "stuck key" effect. Switching back to host (xterm) continues the "stuck key" effect until something else is pressed.
I believer occasionally the key up event is lost (not seen by the guest).
Pressing additional keys in guest does not unstuck the key. The modifiers (shift, control etc) works.
If i manage to get "c" stuck, i can generate CTRL-C by just pressing CTRL :-)

The problem surfaced after upgrade from 8.10 to 9.04
I have the same result with xp and linux as guest.

to reproduce reliably :
- install 9.04 workstation
- install vmware workstation 6.2.1
- create vm with 9.04 server (with or without VMWare tools)
- start the vm, logon (make sure it is at the shell prompt or in editor)
- get the focus out of vm but on the vmware window
- press CTRL-G to grab focus
- observe the 'g' filling up the screen
- try CTRL-ALT-F1 to stop it (if you have a second vm CTRL-ALT-LEFT/RIGHT works as well)
when vm has a gui, you can move the cursor out of the vm window

I can confirm this bug, it happens in VMWare player 2.5.x as well.

See http://communities.vmware.com/message/1239350 as a reference on VMWare community.

The vmware workstation version 6.5.3 has the fix for the problem.
In the original description I made a mistake and reported wrong vmware version. It is 6.2.1. It should be 6.5.1
The fix is not perfect. I expect that the Ctrl-g gets consumed on the host side, but instead the 'g' make to the application on guest. Anyway, it doesn't bother me.

I have seen the problem with vmware server (effectively vmware remote console plug-in version 2.5.0.122581). I hope the next release of vmware server will include the same fix.
