Bug Description

I'm using Xubuntu Oneiric amd64 Beta1 as a VirtualBox guest. I installed guest additions via Jockey. The host machine is Ubuntu 11.04 amd64.

I left the computer for a while, when I came back I moved the mouse and the screensaver closed, and I received this error message.

I have tried viewing some other OpenGL screensavers in Screensaver Preferences, they work OK but then when I click the name of another to preview it, I get the same error - "Sorry, the program "screensaver name" closed unexpectedly." I cannot reproduce it with a non-OpenGL screensaver.

So it seems whenever an OpenGL screensaver is killed, the system is interpreting that as a crash.

Is this still an issue in Ubuntu 12.10?

I am using Ubuntu 13.04 and Ubuntu 13.10 daily on VirtualBox .
And I performed "sudo tasksel xubuntu-desktop" .
The xscreensaver-gl pakage's screensavers crashed many time .
