Bug Description
Binary package hint: ubuntu-desktop
Somewhere around Intrepid beta, ubuntu-desktop (currently version 1.118) started depending on xscreensaver packages resulting in multiple screensavers installed. That is gnome-screensaver and xscreensaver.
Is this intentional? In my opinion gnome-screensaver should suffice.

Thanks for your bug report. ubuntu-desktop depends on xscreensaver-data and xscreensaver-gl. These pacakges provide many of the screensavers you see in gnome-screensaver. The problem is that xscreensaver-gl has a recommends on xscreensaver, which has been installed because recommends are now installed by default. I've reassigned this to xscreensaver.
Perhaps the recommends should be dropped to a suggests?
