Support for a non-daemon mode

Bug Description

I'm using Ubuntu 14.10 dev with xscreensaver 5.26-1ubuntu2 and normally xscreensaver must run in the background to be able to lock the screen. If xscreensaver is not running and the screen is trying to be locked this happens:

sworddragon@ubuntu:~$ xscreensaver-command -lock
xscreensaver-command: no screensaver is running on display :0

Maybe xscreensaver can support locking the screen without xscreensaver permanently running in the background as this would save ressources for whose who don't need the daemon features.

xscreensaver is a daemon, and that's never going to change. If you want something that locks your screen that is not a daemon, then xscreensaver is not the software for you.
