Xsane crashes with preview

When I launch Xsane it is set to gray tones and 75 dpi, if I try to set it to color and 300 dpi when I launch the preview crashes.
If I launch the preview without changing the settings, it works.

I used Simple Scan in the meantime, now I have tried again and with the updates it must have solved.

I got the same Problem with my scanner (Lexmark MX317dn). With Ubuntu 18.04 there were no problems, but with Ubuntu 20.04 I receive the following error message:
