Bug Description

I have an Epsom Stylus DX 4850 printer and have a problem when scanning images. There appears to be a large band through the centre of the image when scanned. I have cleaned the cover and screen and even reinstalled the drivers but it is still there. Can anyone tell me how to fix it?

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. With which version of Ubuntu did you notice this issue? Additionally, what application have you used to scan? Have you tried using more than one scanning application? If so does it happen with all of them? Thanks in advance.
