Ps.: my scanner type CanoScan LIDE 60

csola48, to clarify, does the program Simple Scan allow you to perform the scan?

Ubuntu 16.04.1 + CanoScan Lide 220 scanner:

1) Sane-find-scanner works scanimage and frontend do not. XSane freezes
2) Simple Scan not works
3) gscan2pdf not works

Scanner tried: not breakdown,
With an other OP system Other -not Linux- works :(

csola48, to keep this relevant to upstream, please ensure you are testing the latest release of Ubuntu (16.10) when posting further test results.

Could you please advise?

scanimage -V

After scanning:
scanimage -L
No scanners were identified. If you were expecting something different,
check that the scanner is plugged in, turned on and detected by the
sane-find-scanner tool (if appropriate). Please read the documentation
which came with this software (README, FAQ, manpages).

At the time:
sane-find-scanner

  # sane-find-scanner will now attempt to detect your scanner. If the
  # result is different from what you expected, first make sure your
  # scanner is powered up and properly connected to your computer.

  # No SCSI scanners found. If you expected something different, make sure that
  # you have loaded a kernel SCSI driver for your SCSI adapter.
