Bug Description

Binary package hint: base-installer

When the base installer of Xubuntu Gusty Tribe 3 CD on a Fujitsu Siemens E8110 Lifebook probes the video card the screen gets garbled. This happens right before the X resolution modes are displayed.

Workaround was to select F4 VGA 640x480 at initial menu.

Never mind, I googled and found that these laptops have intel cards. This bug was fixed after Gutsy Beta, please try a recent daily or the Release Candidate when it will be out.

I have tried the latest daily: the problem is the same. By the way, I don't have that problem in 7.04.
