Bug Description

I installed kubuntu beta2 from LiveCD. After installing, it reboots as expected. Since then, just after grub, my second display just starts to flick. It shows at the first top 10px the content of this display (which also flicks but shows some content). I'll attach a photo to show the problem. This is my xrandr status:

And this is my VGA

01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] nee ATI Turks [Radeon HD 6670]

The selected and detected resolutions seems to be OK. No matter which resolution I choose, nothing changes, except if I turn the VGA screen off.

LiveCD beta2 had no problem. Maybe this is some kind of regression or some kernel parameter stuff.

This is a clean installation on a clean machine. I did not tested with 11.10, except for a livecd that worked flawlessly.

I looked for something at logs but I found nothing that seems to be interesting.

PS: I updated the system with all suggested packages.
PS2: I did not installed any packages other than default ones but vim and firefox

Try reproducing with the regular Ubuntu LiveCD (not kubuntu), and if it reproduces file a bug report using `ubuntu-bug xorg` so it'll attach the logs we require.

Changed in xorg (Ubuntu):

I guess it really does not make difference between kubuntu and ubuntu, as they share the same kernel and xorg and the problem is present before kde (kdm) gets on.

Anyway, I'll download the ubuntu livecd.
