Bug Description

installed ubuntu can't get 1024x768 stuck with 800x600. Unable to resolve. Problem was apparent at outset on CD version but went ahead with installation. Previous version 6.06 was fine.

I didn't have 1280x1024 listed under the preferences for my lcd monitor, I had to manually edit xorg.conf to add that resolution, and now it works fine.
