Bug Description

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-driver-tdfx

LiveCD install generally unstable. Desktop crashes randomly and drops back to gdm which tries to start again after 30s. The Xorg.log shows tdfx 1.2.1 is being used so it's probably another Bug #68291 manifestation. No errors are listed in gdm log but syslog shows:

gdm_slave_xioerror_handler: Fatal X error - Restarting :0

Switching to vesa in xorg.conf eliminates problem. Not a very user-friendly solution.
