Bug Description
Binary package hint: x11-common
(Opera is installed on my system.)
When migrating from dapper to edgy, x11-common complains about /usr/bin/X11/:
1/ being non-empty so it can't delete it. (It's non-empty because it contains a symlink to the opera executable file)
2/ being used by Opera.
As x11-common needs to delete /usr/bin/X11/ and make it a symbolic link, the instalation fails.
rm /usr/bin/X11 then dpkg -r opera solves the problem, but this is not trivial for a "normal user".

If you really mean /usr/bin/X11R6 then this is a duplicate of bug #67996
