Bug Description
Binary package hint: xorg
When Edgy Eft Knot 3 was started from a live DVD in GNOME I was offered only with resolutions 640x 480 and 800x 600. The problem is my monitor is LCD with 1280 x 1024 resolution. I've found out that the bug is caused because xorg decides my monitor has default frequencies thus it doesn't allow to choose a resolution witch exceeds those. On the other hand, I can execute "sudo ddcprobe" and I get frequencies which I can add to xorg.conf. After X server restart I get 1280 x 1024 instantly.
