Bug Description

Binary package hint: xorg

Ubuntu 9.04

After activating the ATI/AMD proprietary driver from within Hardware Drivers, and restarting PC when prompted, the graphical interface does not load.

I believe this is caused by having two ATI Radeon HD3870 graphics cards in PC, connected via internal CrossFire cable.

Hi craigmforrest,

Please attach the output of `lspci -vvnn`, and attach your /var/log/Xorg.0.log (and maybe Xorg.0.log.old) file from after reproducing this issue. If you've made any customizations to your /etc/X11/xorg.conf please attach that as well.

If I reproduce this problem then I will lose the graphical interface. I do not know how to upload those files without the graphical interface.
