Bug Description

Daily install of dapper configures Xorg to use the sis driver when the active card is an ATI.

oh, X doesn't start until the Driver line in xorg.conf is fixed by hand of course. dpkg-reconfigure still detects sis as the laptop's gfx provider.

Can you follow the instructions at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingXAutoconfiguration for Ubuntu >= 5.04 and providing us the output (/var/log/Xorg.0.log , /etc/X11/xorg.conf , etc)?

This is from a fresh Ubuntu Dapper Beta install.
Using xresprobe on the sis driver returns an blank fields, maybe that info can be used to determine the sis device doesn't have anything attached.
