Dapper X configuration results in unusable X resolution on iBook

Bug Description

Installing Dapper Flight 2 on a late 2001 (dual USB) Apple iBook leaves X with
an unusable display. Looking at the logs, it's trying to run the display at
640x480 (which has never worked on this hardware AFAIK) because all the 1024x768
modes require an unsuitable horizontal sync. The logs show that it expects
28.00-33.00 kHz.

This is a regression from Breezy, where the xorg.conf included

        HorizSync 28-49

allowing 1024x768 to work. Adding this line into the Monitor section on Dapper
allows 1024x768 to work again.

does this problem persist if you run sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg?
if so, could you please attach the output of sudo ddcprobe?

ddcprobe output

Reconfiguration doesn't make any difference, ddcprobe output attached.
