Bug Description
Hi. Since I've updated today, now I can type glxinfo | grep direct but it says
"direct rendering: no", when in hoary DRI works well. So I do the following:
Close graphical session and go to CTRL+ALT+F1 first console.
$ sudo /etc/init.d/gdm stop
$ sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
Other times I did the same and the driver "radeon" was selected to be under
Device section in my /etc/X11/xorg.conf; but now, the driver "cirrus_logic" has
been selected. So when trying
$ sudo /etc/init.d/gdm start
(after 3 tries to start X) I get the error "no drivers found" and then I must to
edit manually /etc/X11/xorg.conf and change the driver to "radeon". After that,
X runs well.
I don't know if this is related to dri version unmet:
$ grep \\[dri\\] /var/log/Xorg.0.log
(EE) RADEON(0): [dri] RADEONDRIScreenInit failed because of a version mismatch.
[dri] libDRI version is 5.0.0 but version 4.0.x is needed.
[dri] Disabling DRI.
but I haven't open a bug for the DRI problem because I think that they are
working on it due to X modularization, that is another problem.
regards
PS: mi videocard is:
$ lspci | grep ATI
0000:00:00.0 Host bridge: ATI Technologies Inc AGP Bridge [IGP 320M] (rev 13)
0000:00:01.0 PCI bridge: ATI Technologies Inc PCI Bridge [IGP 320M] (rev 01)
0000:01:05.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Radeon Mobility U1
