Bug Description

I thought that I had some kind of problem with the video driver and all the detailed logs are contained here https://forums.developer.nvidia.com/t/ubuntu-kernel-v5-6-v5-7-for-hp-omen-17t-bc000-gforce-rtx2080-unstable-driver-nvidia-linux-x86-64-440-82-run/120027/25
But I installed ubuntu 20.04 and the problem is repeated not only on new kernels ubuntu 5.6 and 5.7.0-rc but also on kernel 5.4 with the Nouveau driver
The system constantly logs onto the standard screen and requires a password to close all current programs

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode.

To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1875435/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package.

The laptop screen flashes unexpectedly, sometimes it is accompanied by a freeze of open windows, after which a screen with a user selection and password entry is displayed, as if the ubunta has just been downloaded. All windows and programs are killed. However, loaded services with data such as docker remain.

Please read the history of correspondence with nvidia https://forums.developer.nvidia.com/t/ubuntu-kernel-v5-6-v5-7-for-hp-omen-17t-bc000-gforce-rtx2080-unstable-driver-nvidia-linux-x86-64-440-82-run/120027/25 there are logs and screenshots. I thought the driver was to blame, but when I installed a clean ubuntu on 20.04, I found a problem on it without a driver

This bug has become confused by too many different configurations and an insufficient problem description. Please:

1. Use an Ubuntu kernel only.

2. Uninstall and reinstall the Nvidia driver.

3. Reboot.

4. If the problem still occurs then please open a new bug by running:

   ubuntu-bug xorg

I always had one configuration, I just tried different versions of the
kernels and installed and uninstalled the nvidia driver. In all variants,
the error was reproduced

1) I use only kernel ubuntu, I changed only kernel versions to newer ones
in the hope that the error will disappear
Can I use 5.7.0-rc5 for reporting?

2) Can I use nvidia driver 440.82 after uninstall it and reinstall

3)Did so many times

4) My last post is fully consistent with your scenario. I use ubuntu with
the kernel 5.7.0-rc5 to install it, I uninstalled the video driver and
reinstalled it again. Can I get a new bug based on this?

The error repeats constantly. I can, without changing the kernel and
driver, send a report many more

Alternative you can run:

  apport-collect 1875435

And keep using this bug. I was just preferring 'ubuntu-bug xorg' to avoid confusing the new bug with the previous comments above.

I shot 2 videos of how this happens
https://youtu.be/THUdqpTpMSQ
https://youtu.be/M-T3Go76jqI

I booted from the kernel version 5.4.0-31-generic without the nvidia driver. This you can see in the second video
