The display got off after the lock timeout. and then whenever tried to unlock, screen would not wake up after mouse hover. only pressing enter works that too takes time. also need to type multiple time. It happen when the screen goes off without lock and need to on the screen. This time the screen flickering occurred and I had to force shutdown.

Anupam Datta, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. Please answer all of the following questions:

1) Could you please provide the full computer model as noted on the sticker of the computer itself (not from the Bug Description, or the result of a terminal command)?

2) Is this something that started to happen after a package update? If so, which and when precisely?

3) To see if this is already resolved in Ubuntu, could you please test http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ and advise to the results?
