Bug Description

Sometimes (quite often recently) Google Chrome gets stuck on my computer - its not responding at all and when resizing the window there is no repaint.

If I then kill the process (it seems to happen both for TERM and KILL), the Google Chrome windows close and everything seems to work for a some short time (less than a minute) and then I get kicked out of the session.

Looking at the Xorg.0.log.old, I see this:

Oded Arbel, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better.

Could you please run the following command once from a terminal by ensuring you have the package xdiagnose installed, and that you click the Yes button for attaching additional debugging information:
apport-collect 1716741

When reporting xorg related bugs in the future, please do so via the above method. You can learn more about this functionality at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ReportingBugs.

I have ran the tool a few times because it seemed to be crashing - at first it wouldn't run at all complaining about missing PyQT, so I installed python-qt-binding; then it seemed to be crashing due to missing pathlib, so I installed that as well and ran it again.

Regarding the original problem, I have to say that in the last few months Chrome has been relatively stable and I hadn't needed to call it, so I didn't encounter that specific problem for a while now.
