Bug Description

Motherboard: VIA Mini-ITX C3 1200 Unichrome
Distro: Tried Ubuntu and Xubuntu Gutsy Gibbon.
Problem: All seems fine until X is supposed to start. It doesen't.
Screen is black, except for the flashing white cursor in the upper left.
Keyboard does no difference, not even ctrl-alt-F1 or ctrl-alt-del.

This is LIVE-CD. I haven't installed it yet, for logic reasons.
This has always worked in earlier Ubuntu versions.
Always using safe graphic mode and 1024x768 32bit, from the screen that appears when it boots from CD.

This could be duplicate of bug #157254. You can try alternative install cd or booting without quiet and splash options to get more information.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. What type of graphics card do you have in your system? Thanks in advance.

Writing this from a cell phone...
The VIA motherboard is sold with everything built-in. Google the motherboard described in post 1 for more info. I think it is Chrome or something.
