Olivier Febwin, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better.

As per http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/product-support/product/latitude-e6520/drivers/advanced an update to your computer's buggy and outdated BIOS is available (A19). If you update to this following https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BIOSUpdate does it change anything?

If it doesn't, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command:
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date

For more on BIOS updates and linux, please see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#Bug_reporting_etiquette .

Please note your current BIOS is already in the Bug Description, so posting this on the old BIOS would not be helpful. As well, you don't have to create a new bug report.

Once the BIOS is updated, if the problem is still reproducible, and the information above is provided, then please mark this report Status New. Otherwise, please mark this as Invalid.

Thank you for your understanding.

Olivier Febwin, did this problem not occur in a release prior to 15.10?

Also, is this reproducible in http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ ?

Prior to Ubuntu 15.10, M560 pointer buttons was incorrectly binded. The scroll button did whatever but never what we expected, button "previous" and button "next" hid or showed the focused window and the "left" button and "right" button ran "previous" and "next".

In 15.10, previous and next buttons are not binded but the other button do what they should.

I believe the correct configuration for imwheel is : imwheel -k -b "0 0 0 0 11 10". Otherwise, the higher button run previous and the other run next (which is not the standard).

This is still an issue in Ubuntu 16.04 derivative (Linux Mint 18.1)

Using the workaround (imwheel -k -b "0 0 0 0 11 10") helped.
