Bug Description

Sometimes I will get the screen seen on the attached picture if i leave the PC
idle for some time after boot. The image changes when pressing a key on the keyboard.

It is not a kernel freeze because I can press <ctrl><f1> and login to the terminal, but X is unusable.

Thank you for the information. I have updated the BIOS as described in:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BIOSUpdate
and
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DellBIOS

anders@inspiron:~$ sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s
bios-release-date
A09

Hope this solves the few issues I have seen.
