Characters missing in Ubuntu 14.04

Bug Description

Every once in a while characters appear to be missing in menus/toolbars/windows headers/...

Sometimes just moving them around or moving the mous over them seem to help to recover the missing characters, but most of the times I have to close-reopen in order to get things back to normal.

Charle, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. To see if this is resolved in a later release of Ubuntu, could you please test http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ and advise to the results?

I am experiencing the same issue. I'm using the Dell XPS 13 as well, but I'm running Ubuntu 14.10.

Same bug here after tried both of the versions 14.04 and 14.10 under lenovo t450 (laptop).
